The Best of Virtues is Patience
Allah Subhaanahu Wata’ala says in the Holy Quran:
“Oh you who believe! Seek help with patient perseverance and prayer, for God is with those who patiently persevere.” (2:153)
“Verily, with every difficulty there is relief. Verily, with every difficulty there is relief.” (94:5-6)
Indeed you will receive Allah’s aid and double the reward. It is a fact that everything you do Allah always sees so seek Allah, be patient, and remember Him at all times.
As taught by Rasoolullah Sallallaahu Alaihi Wa Sallam, there are two parts of faith which are the main necessities. Both sabr (patience) and shukr (gratitude) are the most complementary qualities. We will all be trialed and tested with difficulties, sadness or despair. Those who believe will find comfort with the words of Allah and will be conscious. That tawwakal, trusting Allah is a tool for happiness and success.
It is righteous to be firm and patient in pain and adversity. Allah will test you in the form of happiness or calamity. So do not let helplessness and sadness override you in your situation. Instead bow down to Allah so you can be guided in the right direction. Indeed Allah is with those who are patient.
Always seek comfort from Surah Az-Zumar (039) Verse 53, where Allah Subhaanahu Wata’ala says:
“O my Servants who have transgressed against their souls! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah: for Allah forgives all sins: for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
